Muscle testing has given me knowledge that enables each one of us to work through our healing journey a bit more efficiently. For instance - the majority of people muscle test the same for foods that the body considers mandatory to eat on a daily basis. The only thing that changes is during the summer season of June through August which is listed below. Now this will change for those people who have chronic bowel problems or for diabetics where an overabundance of fruit would not be so healthy. But for the average person, the following foods are considered essential and should be eaten on a daily basis. This is the winter program and should be considered from the middle of September through the middle of May.

Seeds (sesame, sunflowers, poppyseed, pumpkin seed or flax seed) 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. of seeds should be eaten with your morning meal every day. They can be added to your cereal or sprinkled on you toast or muffin. Seeds are a source of vitamins E and F (unsaturated fatty acids - good oils) and are essential to colon and skin health.

Currants are a wonderful source of iron and we should include 1 tsp daily at breakfast.

Almonds - The body requires three almonds daily. Almonds are a source of calcium and magnesium and can be eaten during any time of the day. I keep a container of them on the counter and enjoy watching the family eat a few for their after school snack.

Apricots are essential (one to two daily) preferably at lunchtime. Apricots are a source of vitamin A (beta carotene). Fresh in season; and dried out of season.

One prune daily is essential at bedtime. This begins the cleansing of the body for morning elimination.

Two cups of beans daily - canned or dried, whichever is your preference. This is an important source of daily protein.

Vegetables - as many as you like, but a minimum of one per day is mandatory - and green and yellow should be alternated each day if only one is consummed. However, the more vegetables, the better.

Six to eight cups of pure water daily. Never drink water that has been treated with any type of chemical. Chemicals must be filtered through the liver and/or spleen and will eventually cause problems in these areas.

Changes for the summer season: During the summer months (middle of May through the middle of September) this regiment changes slightly in that the prunes and apricots are substituted with one cup of fresh berry of the season. The berries are cleansers and should be eaten during this season in order the cleanse the system of any toxins that may have developed through the winter months.

As you can see, meat proteins are not considered essential to the body, and neither are dairy products. Our proteins are much better absorbed with beans, nuts and seeds as protein sources.

And dairy can cause allergic reactions in many people.

But first let’s talk about deficiencies. Deficiencies occur when we cannot digest and absorb through our digestive system. Continuing to eat food that aggravates our digestive system will continue to cause problems. That is why it is so important to choose real food for your real body.

The most common deficiencies I find when we are not digesting properly are one or more of the B-complex vitamins, Vitamin E and the minerals Magnesium and Calcium. This would account for a world of people who feel constantly exhausted and stressed. It is the B-Complex that handles our energy, our stress levels and our ability to sleep. The more deficient in this essential vitamin complex, the more of these symptoms you will manifest.Vitamin E is essential to healthy arteries, as well as the skin and brain. When the gall bladder is not functioning properly, Vitamin E is very hard to absorb even with taking a vitamin E supplement. Where can we find vitamin E sources in our food? Nuts and seeds, avocados, good oils such as extra virgin olive oil and expeller pressed sunflower oils, grape seed oils, and sesame oils

Is your diet rich in foods that supply you with Vitamin E?

And need we say more about calcium and magnesium? The problem with calcium and magnesium is not how much we get in our diets, but how efficiently we absorb it. The same is true for all nutrients. So what are good sources of calcium and magnesium? Big bitter leafy green vegetables, dark green herbs such as fresh basil and parsley, sesame and poppy seeds and almonds.

I find it easy to sprinkle a little sesame seed on my morning meal and know that I am getting enough for the day. Almond butter is a favorite and is usually a staple in my cupboards.

To help with the calcium and magnesium absorption, its important to ensure you are getting enough Vitamin D through the sun. I know, we have been told for years to stay out of the sun. Bad advice! Twenty minutes a day is essential. Isn’t it interesting that it takes about 20 minutes to walk a mile? So can you commit to walk a mile in the sun each day? Both will do your body good. And yes, I hear you people who live up north in the cold of winter. This is where a vitamin D supplement will come in very handy!

The American diet has us convinced that our only source of calcium and magnesium is through cow dairy products. This is just not true. Although dairy is very high in calcium, it is also very high in proteins that tend to be indigestible to the human body, hence, the high amounts of calcium never get absorbed, thereby creating a deficiency. Let's keep in mind that cows have four stomachs, a feat that most of us do not possess. So why should cow's milk be so digestible to the human body. In reality, it's not. It can cause great problems to the body including digestive upsets, cramping, and diarrhea as well as sinus and mucus problems.

For those who are extremely thin and have a hard time putting weight on, a diet that includes goat yogurt, goat cheese or goat milk may be extremely beneficial. Goat products give you the benefit of a good fat and protein that is very digestible to most of us. Sheep products can also be used.

Replace white sugars with pure maple syrup, barley malt, rice malt, molasses, stevia, organic blue agave and organic unfiltered honey. As you heal, small amounts of organic cane juice crystals and succanat can be acceptable as well.

Eat as much fresh, organic vegetables and fruits as you can afford. If organic is out of your price range, grow your own and buy as much as you can from local farmers. Try to avoid fruits and vegetables grown outside of our own country.

Whole grains are far superior to food made with refined white flours. Brown rice, barley, millet, oats, quinoa, and spelt help to balance out a meal.

Proteins are important, and different body types do better with different proteins. If your body does well with meat, choose meats that are raised free of antibiotics and hormones. When I eat meat, I prefer venison and buffalo meat, and look for poultry that is free range. I avoid farm raised fish and prefer the taste of deep sea. I am an egg snob and like chickens that lay my eggs to see sunlight and eat bugs, so free range eggs are important to me. The difference in taste is evident as well.

My body loves beans for a protein source. Any bean will do and I have become quite creative in the different ways to use them in food. I enjoy tofu but I have to keep it to small amounts as I have learned that tofu can be difficult to digest. Cow milk is replaced with either goat or soy; however someone else may digest rice products more efficiently.

And how about bread? My body is much happier when I choose organic sprouted grain breads or whole grain sourdough breads. I believe that these two breads are easier to digest and will break down quicker in the body. If you take the time to look, you can find a variety of each as well as sprouted grain English muffins and bagels that will help diminish your carb cravings.

Our bodies are unique and different. Treat them as such. When food is not healthy for you, your body will let you know.

Make informed decisions to reduce your stress in your life. Although most of us don't want to admit it, we are ultimately responsible for our own stress and as we have found in life, only the one responsible can change it. Take this responsibility seriously.

Move your body every day, whether you walk, exercise, swim or dance. Our bodies are designed to be used and if we choose to do nothing but sit, you are giving your body the message that your joints and muscles are no longer needed. Act young to be young. All it takes to change a bad habit is a step in a new and different direction, Do you choose to take that step today?Linda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-7194581223246526652009-01-13T10:52:00.000-08:002012-08-24T05:17:24.707-07:00Nasty Foods to Avoid at all Costs! When a client comes to me with a question about the colon, my first question is always, “What do you put into your body?” When a mom brings in a young child who is complaining of chronic stomach pain, my question is the same, “What does he put into his body?”

We cannot heal the inside of our bodies until we deal with what we are putting into them from the outside. The food we choose will make a huge difference in how you feel physically, emotionally and mentally. The healthier your food; the healthier you can feel.

Digestion is key to healing. We cannot heal with a body that does not digest properly. And food is an important step in the digestive process. If we choose to eat foods that are difficult for the body to break down, it will create stress on our digestive organs. It is really that simple.

So let’s start with the foods that are extremely difficult for the average person to digest.

In my opinion, all white sugar acts as a poison to the human body. Yes, I do realize that white sugar is in a multitude of products that are sitting on your shelf and in your refrigerator at this very moment. If you begin reading labels, you might find it in just about everything. So what is a person to do? You have two choices – you can continue to poison yourself, or you can commit to stop using white sugars in this very moment. That would be a very healthy choice to make for you and the rest of your family.

Now that you have made that commitment, what is plan B? How can one live without sugar? The truth is, you don’t have to live without sugar; you simply have to live (and very nicely I might add) without white sugars. There are a number of sugars that the body (in moderation) will break down and utilize quite nicely. The average person will do quite well with pure maple syrup, barley malt, rice malt, blue agave, stevia, and molasses. Once on the road to health, small amounts of organic cane juice crystals and sucanat can also be added for fun occasions. The truth is, we don’t have to go without, we just have to go differently.

The next line of poisons come in the form of artificial this or preservative that. As soon as I read this ingredient on a label, that product is placed back on the shelf. I have no need for it in my body if I want my liver and spleen to be healthy. Check the ingredients on the products in your cupboards. How many list a vast array of artificial stuff? If it’s not real, why are you putting it into your real body? Better yet, why are you putting it into your little sensitive children’s bodies? Don’t! It’s not good for either of you.

Hydrogenated oils do not have a bad rap, they are a bad food! Avoid them at all costs. Your gall bladder won’t have a clue what to do with them and so your body will begin to store them. Why would you want to store oils that clog your system? These nasty oils can find their way into many packages and bags. There are very few chips I can find on a supermarket shelf that I would allow into my body. The same is true for many other products including crackers and salad dressings. The list can go on and on, but I think you get the point. Read labels!

I limit the amount of cow dairy I eat because much of it is not digestible, especially the inexpensive cheese. Most of my cheese is now made from sheep or goat products which are more easily digestible to our human bodies. Once balanced and clean, however, the more aged cheese, such as Parmesano Reggiano or a nice aged cheddar or provolone may be acceptable in reasonable amounts. Buffalo mozzarella is quite digestible to our bodies as well. However, the cheaper mozzarella will play havoc with our systems.

Caffeine acts like a poison to those with sensitive bladders, kidneys and stomach. Yes, this not only includes coffee but chocolate as well, not to mention teas that include black tea, green tea and chai tea, unless they specifically say “decaf”. Those sensitive to caffeine will find it can create acidity, bloating in the lower abdomen, urinary issues and swelling in the outer extremities. And yes, it is usually these people who are sensitive to it that are most addicted to it. Aren’t we funny beings?

City water is usually ladened with some type of chemical, whether it be fluorides, rust inhibitors or chlorine, none of which I would consciously choose to put into my body. So why do we allow others to dictate to us that drinking bleach is ok? It’s not. Water is meant to flush the system and once we add a chemical to our water supply, the water can no longer do its job. That’s because now our filtration system must work to filter it first. If it has to be filtered, it cannot be flushing! So make sure you choose pure water.

Now let’s look at soda, the great American past-time. These sugar filled drinks cause tooth decay, obesity and sugar imbalances. And the sugar free versions are just as bad. Have you ever met anyone who has gotten thin drinking diet anything? Me either! So stop the soda and begin the water – pure water to help your body heal itself. If you need a little flavor try fresh lemon and pure maple syrup. It will do your body good!

That wasn’t so hard was it? Well, maybe you can’t eat anything in your house. At least you now know what you should avoid. So next time you head for the grocery store you’ll be a little more conscious of the choices you make. Each step you take in a new and different direction will help you to realize that you are worth eating the food that makes you happy and healthy. You’ll also begin to realize that food that makes you sick doesn’t really make you happy!Linda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-31279109417883068372008-12-05T14:19:00.001-08:002012-08-24T05:16:26.204-07:00Urinary ProblemsThe kidneys and bladder speak to the emotion of "disappointments". So if we have chronic kidney and bladder problems, disappointment may be an issue that needs to be looked at. The opposite of disappointment is "acceptance". That means having no expectations. When we can live in this reality, anything that comes our way becomes a wonderful gift. However, if we have expectations and then something we expect does not come to be, we create an imbalance in our system. The truth comes down to the fact that everything is perfect just the way it is. And if we are practicing living in the moment, our energy will not be out somewhere with expectations of something that may never happen. Instead, our energy will be right where it should be - in the moment we are in experiencing everything that is.

Having said that, the physical symptoms of bladder/kidney irritation may manifest as bloating in the lower abdomen and frequent urination with our without burning. Other symptoms may be dryness of the body including the eyes, nose, lips, skin, etc. This personality type may also find they drink way too much water or not enough, as imbalance in water becomes the issue. If a kidney is involved, a person may experience back pain on the top of each hip where the kidneys lie. A person may experience this type of pain after they have been sitting or lying for any length of time.

Many times we will take this energy a step further and become resentful over the person or situation that was expected and did not manifest. This is exactly how we layer our negative states of emotion.

The most important thing you can do to help to heal your kidneys/bladder is to eliminate caffeine (which includes chocolate) from your diet. Caffeine will affect the kidneys/bladder and adrenals of the system. Many people will tell me that they "only drink one or two cups a day". For some systems, this is too much. And the only way you will know is if you get off the caffeine completely. There are other ways to stimulate the adrenals after getting off caffeine (see this section on Fatigue).

Herbs that can be helpful to a urinary system include uva ursi, juniper berry, celery seed, gravel root, hydrangea root, and parsley. Dandelion root will act as a diuretic. Some of these herbs have been documented to help dissolve kidney stones. HerbPharm makes a formula that is a tonic the kidney/bladder area called Goldenrod-Horsetail Compound. Michael's makes a formula called Kidney Factors that has proven very effective in helping to heal this area.

I also like the homeopathic remedy from Hylands called "Bladder Irritation". It can help diminish the time to heal bladder irritations greatly. Of course, the old remedy of using pure cranberry juice goes without saying. Just make sure your juice is purely cranberry which can be found at health food stores in liquid as well as capsule form.

With any infection, adding a vitamin C supplement may be helpful.

The bladder and kidneys are located in the second chakra area. This is our area that relates to our security issues such as money, jobs, family and sexuality. I have seen those who have been sexually abused often manifest chronic bladder infections later in life. As with everything, this is not 100% true, but I have seen it often enough to bring it to your attention to consider that there may be second chakra issues that have not been healed and need attention. The second chakra also deals with relationship issues. Often these personality types become co-dependent, competitive or victimized. They tend to attract unhealthy relationships.

There is not one particular flower that speaks to disappointments in life. The flowers should be considered based on the emotion that is attached to the disappointment, such as frustration, resentment, discouragement, depression, etc…Linda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-51589839778029561952008-12-05T14:16:00.000-08:002012-08-24T05:19:33.729-07:00Throat IssuesThe throat lies at the fifth chakra in the body. Energetically, this relates to our control center. It also relates to our ability to not only speak our truth but how our actions follow that which we say. In other words, as spiritual beings, we must not only speak our truth but live our truth day to day. The throat area can also signify a Beech personality out of balance. When I feel I am not in control of something or want to try to control something that is not mine to control, laryngitis has been a physical manifestation of this imbalance. As a Beech personality type, I become intolerant of not being able to control certain situations. The truth is, however, that none of us control anything, and my greatest lesson in this lifetime is to learn surrender, which is something I try to practice on a daily basis.

So when we are not speaking our truth or not living our truth, we may not be able to speak at all. Physical manifestations are language for us to look at an imbalance within ourselves.
For those who continuously manifest swollen glands in the throat area, remember that the glands are actually within the lymphatic system. If the lymphatic system is impaired, it represents someone who is holding on to the emotion of hate. As it is manifesting in the throat area, it is significant to begin to ask yourself if there is some issue that you hate because you cannot control it. Or you might have to ask if you are allowing someone to control you and you are hating it.

Another issue could be that there is something you are holding in your system that you hate and have not addressed. Hate does not have to be directed toward another person, although often times it may be. We can learn to hate our jobs, hate where we live, hate our financial status…. Hate comes in many shapes and sizes, but it is truly an unacceptable emotion to the spiritual being.

For teenagers who are manifesting mononucleosis (which will usually create one swollen gland), this imbalance is speaking to "hating being controlled by another" (usually parents who want to control their children). The tissue salt Silicea may be helpful to cleanse and eliminate. Silicea is used when there is pus formation, of which a swollen gland can speak loud and clear about that. Red Clover-Stillingia Compound by Herb Pharm is helpful in cleansing the lymphatic system. Yellowdock Root is another lymphatic cleanser that can be helpful.

A sore throat that has not manifested as swollen glands is an indication of anger over control issues. Remember that anger manifests as pain, rash or infection.

As Beech is an anger flower and the throat is our Beech area, Beech just may be the right flower to take to help the problem. The Beech flower is for intolerance, easily irritated, critical and judgmental personality. And sometimes, it is ourselves that we hold this imbalance against. I find that if my throat is dry and hoarse with sneezing spells, the tissue salt Natrum Mur may help tremendously.

If the problem comes from not speaking your truth and stuffing your feelings, the flower essence Agrimony may be the proper choice as the Agrimony personality has a hard time speaking their truth so as to avoid confrontation.

If the throat is burning and red, the tissue salt Ferrum Phosphate may be very helpful. It is the tissue salt for burning and red inflammatory pain with high temperatures.

The first thing I will always ask a client is "do you drink anything with caffeine?" The Agrimony personality type tends to be extremely sensitive to caffeine or any addictive drug. The first thing that needs to be done is to eliminate caffeine from the diet. It's understandable that this is easier said than done. Caffeine puts great stress on the adrenal glands. These glands are our energy centers and our stress centers. When caffeine becomes a way of life, it puts a great deal of stress on our energy center. Once the adrenal glands are stressed, exhaustion comes into play. It is then that the caffeine addict will continue to increase the coffee to keep the system going. It becomes a merry ground round that does not allow anyone to get off.

The adrenal glands not only give us energy throughout the day, but they help us to sleep at night. The adrenals give us the ability to handle stress. So when we burn these glands out, the body becomes totally out of balance. Although we are exhausted during the day, we cannot sleep at night. We are unable to handle stressful situations, or we create situations to be more stressful than they really are.

First and foremost, I would suggest a high potency B-complex vitamin to help stimulate the adrenals. Severe stress in our lives can imbalance our B-complex which will put the adrenals under stress almost immediately. There are a number of herbs that might also prove helpful. My first choice would be Ginseng. It comes in many forms and types. I'm not sure that one is better than another, so you might want to try one that speaks to you. Bee Pollen is helpful in getting our energy flowing. It contains every vitamin, mineral, enzyme and amino acid we need to live. So it helps us to nourish the body at every level from past abuse. Licorice is also helpful in stimulating the adrenals but holds a caution for those prone to high blood pressure as it might elevate these levels. I like to use Licorice from time to time as an energy boost, but it has never affected me in a negative manner.

In the emotional world, the adrenals hold the emotion of discouragement. Discouragement creates exhaustion. Our fast paced lives of today many times keep us in a state of discouragement. The opposite of Discouragement is Excitement. It is through excitement that the adrenals are stimulated. So in order to heal sleeplessness, excitement becomes a necessary part of each day.

There are a number of flowers I have found that are helpful for sleeplessness dependent upon the emotional state of the client.

A White Chestnut state of mind can often be a culprit for not sleeping. The White Chestnut personality has the mind that never shuts up. Old thoughts keep playing over and over like a broken record. A White Chestnut may not be able to go to sleep because of these thoughts, or they may wake in the middle of the night and not be able to get back to sleep. White Chestnut personalities often have circulatory problems that manifest themselves in the form of coldness, numbness and tingling in the hands and feet.

Agrimony is another personality type that might have sleeping problems. The agrimony does not deal with issues as they appear. They stuff their feelings and prefer to make light of situations. They may be haunted by thoughts that have been unresolved. They become the professional stuffers and usually turn to addictive behaviors to make themselves feel better including addictions to drugs, alcohol, carbohydrates, sugars, chocolate, caffeine, shopping, etc. Other manifestations of the agrimony personality may include headaches, cold sores, skin disorders, digestive disorders and eating disorders.

The Vervain personality type can also have a hard time sleeping. These personalities will be focussed on one particular issue and won't be able to let it be. Their mind will harp on this one issue and not allow the mind to calm enough to fall asleep. They have fixed ideas and principles and seem to live on their "nerves". The Vervain are "driven" and their mind is always a few steps ahead of their bodies. They take on far too much and don't leave time for rest and relaxation. This personality type becomes tired and strained.Linda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-64875012382668504362008-12-05T14:12:00.000-08:002012-08-24T05:22:32.201-07:00Skin RashAnger manifests three ways in the physical body - as pain, as rash, as infection. Frustration is a form of anger that, when held for long periods of time within the system, may turn to skin rashes. Skin rashes come in many shapes and sizes including, psoriasis, eczema, poison ivy, acne, itchy skin, etc. No matter how your body chooses to display your rash, the truth is that the manifestation is simply anger that you have stuck in your system. Frustration is stored in our liver, and frustration can lead to resentments. Resentments are stored in our spleen. Since the liver and spleen are the body's filtration systems, when one or both are under stress through overuse, the only way for the body to detoxify this anger or these poisons is through the skin. So it's not a bad thing that the body is using your skin as a filtration system. Otherwise, we would self-poison.

In order to heal skin rash, the emotion of anger must be healed. I am going to list the anger flowers below. The secret to healing anger is to transform it back to joy, love or forgiveness. This is dependent upon what caused it to begin with. When you begin to experience the vibration of the flowers, you will find that you will be able to "see" more clearly what is stored from the past in your system. Many times, this stored negative energy goes back to our childhood.

Let me take you one step further.. in truth, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. As physical beings, our truths (or who we truly are) are beings embraced by love. Anger creates an imbalance from who we are. Our spiritual self does everything possible to show us our anger through the emotional state and encourage us to come back "home" to love. But as physical beings, we have been taught to become more comfortable in our negative states of anger and so we choose to remain in that state and hold on to grudges, bitterness, resentments, etc.. However, what we have failed to realize is that we cannot put out anything to someone else that does not directly affect us personally.

When we put out anger, we receive pain, rash or infection back. The physical body is the means through which the spiritual body speaks to us. Physical symptoms are body language. Once you understand your own body language, you are now in a position to begin to heal yourself.
It is not that the skin condition is not real. It is certainly as real as any other illness we create within ourselves. However, now you can begin to look at it from a different angle.

Now you can begin to change that which the spirit is asking of you, which is to transform your anger back to joy, your impatience back to patience, your intolerance back to tolerance, your resentments back to forgiveness and your hate back to love. These are the five states of anger: anger, impatience, intolerance, resentment and hate. This knowledge that I am sharing with you has come directly from those people who I have worked with and who have experienced psoriasis or eczema and have actually healed it through the emotional/spiritual states of love and forgiveness.

Sometimes it is not easy to see ourselves for who we have become. The shift to a negative state of being occurs so gradually, that it becomes "normal" to ourselves and those around us. And although this may be considered "normal" in the physical world, it is certainly not normal in the spiritual world. Once you create the physical symptoms, now you have to help heal them as well. Along with skin rash, a body that is full of different types of angers may experience tiredness, inability to think or focus, headaches, muscle pains, colon cramps, cold sores, sinus and/or bronchial infections

Eliminating the foods that aggravate our digestive organs such as the liver, spleen, stomach and gall bladder is essential so your body can begin to heal itself. These foods are always consistently the same including fried food, hydrogenated oils, pork, cow dairy products, city water, artificial ingredients including colors, preservatives and sweeteners, oranges and orange juice as well as caffeine and chocolate as well as refined white flours and sugars. With skin rashes, I have found that the deeper cleansing herbs, such as yellow dock and burdock root capsules tend to be more effective. With severe rashes, a combination Blood Cleansing formula might be even more effective. Michael's makes one called "Blood Detoxification Formula and HerbPharm makes one called Red Clover-Stillingia.

I have also found that Vitamin D cream is helpful externally on the areas where the rash has developed. Bach Rescue Remedy Cream may also be helpful in some cases.
After you cleanse the liver/spleen you might consider Milk Thistle to begin to strengthen these body parts. Remember that the liver and spleen hold the emotions of anger and resentment. See the connection? Everything is connected. We are not separate from ourselves or from one another. The great truth that "what you do unto others, you do unto yourself" has more meaning than we know. What you put out, you get back in the physical body. How else would we pay attention? How else could our spirits speak to us?

Another great truth is, what you want for yourself, you wish for others. Because in the end, you get it back. This is energetic. Begin to think energetic and you can create anything you want in life. Think it. Speak it. Create it. It is really that simple. We just have forgotten how to practice it. And as we all know from another great truth, practice makes perfect.

The following is a listing of the flowers used for anger in the Bach flower system. Be open and honest with yourself to see how you were taught to deal with your anger. The flowers are one of the tools we can use to open up the channels so we can begin to see and eventually recreate how we deal with anger. Anger should never be stored, but instead it should be transformed back to love and forgiveness. Always begin with the flower you see in yourself at this very moment. As you heal the present, whatever is underneath from the past will begin to reveal it self to you and then you can "see" more clearly what your next step or flower might be. It is not unusual for those who manifest skin rashes to have multiple layers of anger that need to be dealt with.

The anger flowers are:

Agrimony
Suppress and deny true feelings.. feelings of mental torment. Anger is hidden and not addressed. The agrimony personality makes light of issues instead of facing them. They tend to become the addictive personality type using drugs, alcohol, chocolate, sugars, carbohydrates, gambling, shopping, etc. The agrimony is always looking outwardly for something to make them happy as they have not dealt with the issue of their happiness from inside.

Vine
Demand obedience or allegiance from others.. control and direct. Assertive to point of aggression.. my way or no way. Strong willed that overpowers others.

Water Violet
Aloof and socially distant.. measures others according to social status, economic background.. may not want to associate with those beneath you. Easily annoyed when working with others. Leave me alone!

Willow
Hold on to past injustices or misfortunes.. bitterness & resentment. Victim role.. always being persecuted or unfairly punished.. emotionally inflexible.. difficult to forgive others or be accepting and yielding.

Impatiens
Tense, irritable, easily impatient and argumentative. Take over for others, finish their sentences or complete tasks because others are too slow. Rushing ahead of experience, not able to enjoy or pay attention to the present.

Beech
Set high standard for others.. critical or judgement toward behavior & performance of others or of oneself.. must be surrounded by perfection.

Holly
Feelings of jealousy, rivalry, suspicious or vengefulness. Loss of feeling of compassion for others.. Feelings of alienation, mistrust or hostility. Struggle or compete in order to receive love or recognition, feeling it is rightfully yours.

The mucus membranes hold the emotion of Resentment. The sinus more specifically deals with our resentments that manifest around abundance issues. This means that a person who has chronic sinus issues is spending more time focussing on what they don't have instead of what they do have. In order to heal, appreciation for what you do have should be the main focus. Now that you understand the language of sinus infections, you can begin to heal your chronic sinus problems.

Chronic bronchial problems are the language that one is resenting insecurities, either of themselves or others. Focussing on those things that make us feel secure is the first step in healing chronic bronchial problems.

The spleen can also be an issue for those with chronic mucus membrane problems. Resentment often times begins in the spleen as "resentment of others". The spleen is directly connected to the mucus membranes and so illness that begins in a spleen imbalance often flows over to the mucus membranes of the body.

The flower essence that most often deals with resentments is called "Willow". People who are in a Willow state will hold on to resentments and bitterness. Their thoughts will dwell on the negative of a situation instead of the positive. This is where they will choose to remain.

The other flower essence often associated with mucus is "Chicory". Chicory is used for the victim mentality (poor me, nobody appreciates what I do). These personalities focus on what they don't have instead of what they do have. They usually add a "but" at the end of their sentences, ensuring they finish with negativity.

The Beech flower essence if most often used when an issue begins in the throat such as swollen glands, sore throat, bronchitis and laryngitis. This is very 5th chakra energy relating to intolerances, control, judgements and irritation either directed at oneself or others.

To help alleviate congestion, avoid all cow dairy products (this includes milk, cheese, ice cream, yogurt and any food that contains any amount of dairy in its ingredient listing). Non-dairy substitutes such as soy or rice milks can be used instead. Goat or sheep milk products can also be substituted, as it is much more digestible to the human body. Oranges and orange juice should be eliminated, as both will aggravate mucus congestion, although a small amount of grapefruit juice may be helpful for a cleanser. Four to six cups of pure water daily is essential to help cleanse the system. Lastly, for those who have severe allergies, eliminating wheat may also be helpful to get the body balanced. Instead of plain white or wheat breads, substituting with sourdough breads or sprouted grain breads are a much better choice, and they taste better too.

The herbs that may be helpful to eliminate the mucus that has been stored in the body include Elderberry, Echinacea and Goldenseal. Natures Herbs makes a combination formula of all three that has helped many people balance sinus congestion. The medicinal mushroom family can be helpful for the immune system including the reishi mushroom, the shitake mushroom and the maitake mushroom. You can find immune boosting formulas that may contain all of them.

As the spleen is also involved in the emotion of resentment, keeping the spleen cleansed is important. Foods to be avoided for a healthy spleen are: city water, artificial ingredients including artificial sweeteners, and dark colored sodas. The herbs that help to keep the spleen cleansed include Dandelion Root, Burdock Root and Yellowdock Root.

There are a number of tissue salts that may also be helpful in healing mucus congestion. Ferrum Phosphate is the tissue salt used for symptoms associated with congestion, inflammation, pain, high temperatures, and quickened pulse. It is the oxygen carrier of the body. It can be used until inflammatory symptoms subside.

Kali Mur is one tissue salt I use often with sinus problems. It is the remedy for sluggish conditions that have been stuck in the body for a length of time. It is especially useful when discharges have become think, and white with a fibrous appearance. Anything affecting the mucus membranes and respiration - coughs, colds, sore throats, tonsillitis, bronchitis, may call for Kali Mur in alternation with Ferrum Phosphate.

Kali Sulph is called for symptoms that promote a feeling of "stuffiness" or desire for cool air. When the discharge becomes yellowish from the skin or mucus membranes, Kali Sulph may prove very helpful.

If the mucus is watery with sneezing, dry painful nose or throat symptoms, Natrum Mur may be called for. Eyes watering and hayfever symptoms may indicate a Nat Mur imbalance.

Most important, resentment calls for us to learn how to forgive. Forgiveness allows us to move from the negative emotions that haunt us. Forgiveness is the fastest way to heal resentments.
When we are intolerant, we become easily irritated, judgmental and critical. So muscular pain can be a sign of holding on to "intolerance". The flower essence that can help us heal our intolerance and transform it back to tolerance is called Beech. Many times, our intolerance may begin at the back of the neck and around the shoulder area. We have a habit of calling this stress, but if we learn the right language, we can begin to heal it with the right remedies.

Muscle cramping and pains for no known reason are often a sign of a calcium and/or magnesium deficiency in the body. The deficiency is usually caused by our body's inability to digest and absorb these nutrients. Therefore, it is important to work on healing the digestive organs in order to heal deficiencies in the system. We do this by avoiding the foods that aggravate digestion which include: fried food, hydrogenated oils, pork, cow dairy products, city water, artificial ingredients including colors, preservatives and sweeteners, dark colored sodas, oranges and orange juice as well as caffeine and chocolate.

After eliminating these foods, it is time to cleanse the system. As I have spoken previously, my favorite cleanser is dandelion root. However, I often use burdock root or yellow dock root when the system has been abused for longer periods of time. Burdock root tends to be more helpful for those who manifest cysts, boils, styes, mucus - any thing that gets stuck in the system. Those with severe bowel disorders may also do well with Burdock as it does allow us to eliminate more freely. Yellow Dock Root is connected to the lymphatic system and can be helpful for those with chronic mucus problems or alcohol or drug addictions.

Once digestion is working it is important to increase the foods that are high in calcium and magnesium. The foods I find easiest to put into our busy lifestyles are sesame seeds, poppy seeds, almonds, dark bitter greens and fresh green herbs. It is easy to sprinkle a little sesame seed on your morning meal, or pop a few almonds in your mouth. It is also easy to buy some fresh basil and parsley each week and simply cut it up into what ever you may eat during the day. Supplements are helpful, but the body will rely on real food in order to heal itself.

Once you have made a commitment to eat more of the healthy foods for calcium and magnesium absorption, you may need to add a supplement in order to increase your levels quickly. A find that those who are creating muscular pains tend to need more magnesium than calcium. So either you can add a magnesium supplement or a magnesium/calcium supplement where the ratio to Magnesium is higher than the ratio to Calcium. The tissue salt Magnesium Phosphate is also very helpful for muscular aches and pains.

If the muscular aches and pains are caused by an injury, all of the above is still essential to heal quickly and effectively. I would also add a homeopathic remedy from Natra Bio called "Injuries". It contains all the homeopathic remedies that help us to heal, not only the muscles, ligaments and tendons on the body, but the skeletal and nervous systems that may have been affected as well. You can take it internally, and because it is in liquid form, you can also put a drop or two directly on the affected area for quicker healing.

Having the knowledge to heal yourself is the first step in the healing process. The more you know, the faster you can heal!
The physical manifestations of depression include hormonal imbalances, but can also manifest as crying and exhaustion. Clients who have chronic PMS, pre-menopausal, post-menopausal or menopausal symptoms usually hold a layer of depression that needs to be dealt with in the emotional body. There are a number of flowers that help us to heal our states of depression.

One flower that I use often especially for those having a hard time during menopause with hot flashes, night sweats, concentration problems, etc., includes the flower called "Walnut". Walnut is the flower essence that assists us through changes and transitions in life. Menopause is simply a change that each of us has to walk through. How we decide to take that walk may determine how gently we go through the path physically. What I have learned in life is that each time period that I go through is more exciting and unique than the last. I have learned to enjoy it. The truth is, we cannot change that we are going to change. The more positive energy and thoughts we put into the process will help us to create a positive physical environment with which we go through it. The other flowers for depression will be listed below.

Hormonal herbs have been extremely helpful for people experiencing the physical symptoms. For PMS and irregular periods, the herb Chaste Tree Berry is safe and effective. I also use it for teenagers who are trying to balance their periods. Blessed Thistle is also noted to help regulate menstrual cycles. Cramp Bark is an herb that is extremely helpful for those who get severe cramping before and during the menstrual cycle. The tissue salt Magnesium Phosphate may also be helpful in alleviating cramping. Although I have not used it, Juniper Berry is noted to help with menstrual problems.

Black Cohosh is probably the most widely used herb for hormonal problems. It can also help regulate periods and PMS symptoms. But its major reputation comes for helping with hormonal symptoms. It's counter-partner, Blue Cohosh can also be used for the same reasons. Damiana is noted as an aid to increase libido. But it can also be helpful to balance hormonal organs, menopause as well as menstrual. Dong Quai is noted as an overall tonic for female reproductive system including menstrual regularity, PMS and menopause symptoms. There are many hormonal herbal combinations that may contain some or all of these herbs. There is a local doctor nearby that recommends Black Cohosh, Red Raspberry, and Red Clover to help women with hormonal complaints. Many clients have had good luck increasing soy and bean products into their diets or an Isoflavone supplement. HerbPharm makes two formulas that I recommend often, one is Black Cohosh-Licorice Compound; the other is Pulsatilla-Vitex Compound. Natures Plus makes a formula called Mentrol that contains both Black Cohosh and Isoflavones.
One is a manifestation of anger that has become stuck in the physical body. The Agrimony personality type creates headache symptoms beautifully. The Agrimony does not express them selves openly. Instead, they choose to hide their feelings so as not to hurt others. They become professionals at stuffing their feelings and only express them when they become too extreme or heavy to handle. It is then that their emotions may show them selves in anger. As Agrimony's tend to crave foods such as alcohol, drugs, sugars, caffeine, chocolate, and carbohydrates, an imbalance of these foods can bring on a headache. Therefore, it is important to try to eliminate as much of these foods as you can to get your system back in balance. The Agrimony flower can help you achieve this goal.

Feverfew is an herb that has been shown to be effective in helping to alleviate chronic headaches. It is my understanding that you need to take this herb on a daily basis in order for it to be helpful. Willow Bark acts like a natural aspirin in that it helps to alleviate the pain associated with headaches.

The tissue salt, Magnesium Phosphate, can be helpful in relieving headache pain that is shooting or darting stabs of pain.

The Willow personality can also manifest as headaches. Willow is the flower for resentment and bitterness so again, it deals with anger issues. Resentment and bitterness manifest in the mucus membranes as infections - sinus, bronchial, earaches - all of which could create the mucus membranes to become so inflamed in the head that a headache could result. If chronic sinus is a direct result of your headaches, you might want to try healing the resentment that you are holding onto. Willow is the flower that will help you to balance this emotion. The following specific body parts hold the following negative imbalances : Spleen - Resentment of others; Bronchial - Resentment of insecurity issues; Sinus - Resentment of abundance issues (focusing on what you don't have instead of what you do).

To help alleviate the congestion, you should avoid all cow dairy products (this includes milk, cheese, ice cream, yogurt and any food that contains any amount of dairy in its ingredient listing). Substitute with soy, rice, goat or sheep milk products. Oranges and orange juice should also be eliminated although a small amount of grapefruit juice may be helpful for a cleanser. Four to six cups of pure water daily is essential to help cleanse the system. Lastly, for those who have severe allergies, eliminating wheat may also be helpful to get the body balanced. Instead of plain white or wheat breads, substitute with sourdough breads or sprouted grain breads, which are more digestible to the body and they taste better too.

The herbs that may be helpful to eliminate the mucus that has been stored in the body include Elderberry, Echinacea and Goldenseal. Natures Herbs actually makes a combination formula of all three that has helped many people balance sinus congestion. The medicinal mushroom family can be helpful for the immune system including the reishi mushroom, the shitake mushroom and the maitake mushroom. You can find immune boosting formulas that may contain all of them.

Pau D'Arco is another immune boosting herb that can be helpful for those with chronic illness.
As the spleen is also involved in the emotion of resentment, keeping the spleen cleansed is also important. Foods to be avoided in order to heal the spleen include no city water, no artificial ingredients, and no dark colored sodas. The herbs that help to keep the spleen cleansed include Dandelion Root, Burdock Root and Yellowdock Root.

There are a number of tissue salts that may also be helpful in healing mucus congestion.

"Ferrum Phosphate is the tissue salt used for symptoms associated with congestion, inflammation, pain, high temperatures, and quickened pulse. It is the oxygen carrier of the body. It can be used until inflammatory symptoms subside.

"Kali Mur is one tissue salt I use often with sinus problems. It is the remedy for sluggish conditions that have been stuck in the body for a length of time. It is especially useful when discharges have become thick, and white with a fibrous appearance. Anything affecting the mucus membranes and respiration - coughs, colds, sore throats, tonsillitis, bronchitis, may call for Kali Mur in alternation with Ferrum Phosphate.

"Kali Sulph is called for symptoms that promote a feeling of "stuffiness" or desire for cool air. When the discharge becomes yellowish from the skin or mucus membranes, Kali Sulph may prove very helpful.

"If the mucus is watery with sneezing, dry painful nose or throat symptoms, Natrum Mur may be called for. Eyes watering and hay fever symptoms may indicate a Nat Mur imbalance" (From the Biochemic Handbook).

Most important, resentment calls for us to learn how to forgive. It is through forgiveness that all things are healed. When dealing with sinus issues, we are being called to begin appreciating that which we have been given. It is at this point in our healing that we should focus on all that we have instead of what we have not.

Many a client has responded angrily when it is time to look at forgiving someone in their life. Their response is that they are not ready to "let them off the hook". But in truth, forgiveness is not about the other person, it is about you. Forgiving another allows you to detach from the past. Holding on to resentment wastes energy on a situation that no longer exists. Forgiveness will set you free and allow you more time and energy to focus on what is in your life now. And that in the end will allow you to create more joy in the present.

For more information on anger flowers, link to: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/anger-flowers.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-56862948267358759532008-12-05T13:57:00.001-08:002008-12-19T18:27:07.430-08:00Fears, Panic, AnxietyAs with all our negative traits, fear and panic is learned behavior. I most recently worked with a woman who was beginning her teaching career. Two weeks before school started, she began having panic attacks. I asked her if this was new for her and of course she said no. But she had not experienced them in a long time and feared she might have one in her classroom. As we worked, we got back to the truth that these attacks started when she was in second grade. It was in second grade that she entered a new school and her teacher was very mean and screamed at her most of the time. She was extremely panic stricken and fearful of school. Her life was filled with having to change schools, and each time that happened, she became more fearful. At this point in her adult life, she was thrown back to that "fear of new school" mentality. What she had to understand was that she was no longer the second grader who was afraid to enter this new school. Once she could understand where the mentality of the fear came from, she began to look at it differently. After a few doses of Aspen, she released almost all the anxiety that she carried that day. She began laughing about the prospects of entering her new school and was looking forward to a new adventure.

Fear can manifest in many glands and organs depending upon the fear itself. The gall bladder holds the emotion of fear of failure, fear to make a mistake, or lack of self-esteem. When someone says something bad about us, we will feel it first in the gut of our gall bladder right between the rib cage. As you can see there is good reason for that. If we are afraid to make a mistake, we may create digestive problems within the system. The flower essence I use most often for this type of fear is Larch. Larch allows us to try new things without being afraid of the outcome. It allows us to feel good about our selves. Larch allows us to make mistakes and then pick our selves up and try something new.

If the gall bladder has been physically abused by a person with a Larch personality, there will be a lot of digestive problems. A gall bladder imbalance will create the feeling of being stuffed after eating. The food will sit in the area just below the rib cage. Burping, belching, reflux or gas may be evident. If the problem becomes chronic, a pain in the lower back may also indicate gall bladder issues. In order to heal the gall bladder you have to stop aggravating it. The foods that aggravate gall bladder include fried food, hydrogenated oils, pork and cow cheese. It is important to substitute fried food with boiled, broiled or baked foods, substitute hydrogenated oils with pure extra virgin olive oil (we prefer the Greek or Italian olive oils as they have medicinal qualities), substitute cow cheese with soy, rice, goat or sheep cheese.

Eliminating caffeine is extremely essential to the anxiety driven personality.

After eliminating the foods that aggravate this system, it is time to begin to cleanse it. Dandelion Root tea, capsule or tincture is the most gentle. I have also used Burdock Root or Yellow Dock Root for this area when years of abuse are evident. Both herbs are deeper acting cleansers.

The tissue salt Kali Phos can be very helpful for those with anxiety and nervousness. It nourishes the nervous system and brings us back to a feeling of peacefulness. It is also very safe and can be used with very young children.

Flower essenses can help us heal our fearful states:

The Aspen fear is the fear from the unknown. These are the fears that are fed by the "what if" mentality. The person worries about the future, the past and has never learned how to focus their energy in the present. Their minds are always thinking about "what if this happens", "what if this doesn't happen"… what if, what if, what if. Basically they are worrying about things that most likely won't happen. The Aspen fear is anxiety based for no known reason. The most common physical trait from an Aspen personality is the anxiety or heart palpitations.

The Mimulus fear is different from the Aspen in that the fear is definitely know. They know they are afraid of dogs or flying or being in the dark. They can clearly express themselves as to what they are afraid of. The Mimulus may also create anxiety but they can put their finger on what is causing it.

The White Chestnut personality is the fear that comes from the worrying state of mind. The mind is in constant turmoil about daily events and can not be shut off. The same record keeps playing over and over with no help to stop it. The White Chestnut may not be able to fall asleep at night or they may wake in the middle of the night and not be able to get back to sleep. It is their overactive mind that keeps them in this "not able to sleep" mode. Besides sleeping problems, the White Chestnut will usually manifest circulatory problems, such as coldness, numbness and tingling of the extremities (hands and feet). It is in the circulatory system that we manifest our worry, worry, worry.

Using calming techniques can be helpful for the fearful personality type. Yoga and meditation may prove helpful to calm the anxious system. Some others might find reading, writing, walking, boating, etc. to be calming to the system. We are all unique and different. It is up to the individual person to decide what may make them happiest and most calm.

I often use the herb Chamomile in tea, tincture of capsule form to help those transforming their fears and anxieties. Kali Phos is the tissue salt that is also helpful as it helps to balance the nervous system of the body.

For more information on fear flowers link to: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/fear-flowers.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-64870528189569703902008-12-05T13:54:00.000-08:002008-12-19T18:51:48.370-08:00FatigueExhaustion is rampant in America. Could it be that we don't sleep well and work too hard? That would be my best guess. But now we have to look at how we can change all that. Everything about our individual lives is in our hands to heal it.

The most important thing to do in order to heal fatigue is to eliminate caffeine products from the diet completely. Caffeine is abusive to our adrenal system, and it is through this system that we create energy. So by using caffeine as an energetic source, we are actually doing greater damage to the body. You may also find that you sleep better without the use of caffeine throughout the day. And for some people, one cup of coffee is just too much.

Eliminate white and refined sugars from your diet. They are also playing havoc with your system and not allowing your body to digest properly. Change these foods to whole grain products along with the more complex sugars including pure maple syrup, barley malt, rice malt, sucanat, organic cane sugars, molasses and stevia. Add more proteins in the form of beans, nuts and seeds.

Emotionally, the adrenals are drained from discouragement in life. Discouragement creates the reality of two steps forward and three steps back. That alone will drain our spirit as we are under the illusion that we never get ahead. To change discouragement, we need to begin to look at those things that excite us in life. The opposite of discouragement is excitement. Whether we focus our energy on those things that discourage us or excite us is purely choice. Excitement is the emotion that stimulates the adrenals. So when you are feeling discouraged with something that is happening in your life, you have the power to change it at that moment to something that brings you greater joy. Again.. this is choice. For some reason our society teaches us that we have to sit in our discouragement. That is far from the truth. The truth is you can do whatever you want, anytime you want. You just have to believe it is so.

First and foremost, the B-complex vitamins are our energy vitamins, our stress vitamins and our vitamins that help us sleep. When the adrenals are drained, even if we feel exhausted during the day and don't handle stress well, we may not be able to sleep during the evening. It is the replenishment of the B-vitamins that helps us to get the adrenals nourished. Make sure you get a good quality, high potency B-complex vitamin to assist you in this healing process.

There are herbs that can be helpful to stimulate the adrenals as you begin to heal them. Ginseng is most notably an adrenal booster. It has been used throughout history for stamina and energy. You can use it in tea, capsule, or tincture form. And not only does it give us energy, but it does help to stimulate the adrenals instead of abuse them. Another adrenal stimulant is Licorice Root. While stimulating the adrenals, it can also raise blood pressure, so if you have a problem with that, you might want to consider something else. I do not have blood pressure problems, so I enjoy the energy boost licorice can give me. Bee Pollen is nature's perfect food. It is balanced in every vitamin, mineral, enzyme and amino acid we need to live on. So what bee pollen does ultimately is nourish us, something that many of us have not been doing for our bodies lately. I like to use bee pollen if we are going out at night and I am hoping to stay up late. It gives you a boost without making you hyper. That way, I can still fall asleep when I get home.

Kali Phos is a tissue salt that helps balance the nervous system of the body. It may be helpful for those trying to come off caffeine. It also gives us a little energy boost for those of us whose nerves are shot and have created sleeplessness, depression, weariness, lowered vitality, or grumpiness. It gives us a little boost to an over tired system. Tissue salts are extremely safe and I have also been known to take a shot of Kali Phos before heading out for an evening.
Below, I have listed the flowers used for Exhaustion. They may prove very helpful while beginning your healing journey..

Exhaustion Flowers
Elm
Overwhelmed by major tasks and responsibilities. Overly responsible or overly concerned in family or work situations.. Experience of fatigue regarding tasks or projects, which you are responsible for.

Oak
Hard working and depending but pressing the limits of endurance in order to provide for or assist others; Verge of collapse or utter exhaustion due to unrelenting pace set by yourself; over-strive beyond true limits or capacities, denying oneself small pleasures or spontaneous moments of joy.

Olive
All physical energy is spent resulting in profound sense of exhaustion and fatigue, especially after facing an extremely challenging ordeal.

Hornbeam
Fatigued or drained in a job, which is out of proportion to the real physical energy demanded for the task; life is a monotonous routine.. just going through the motions at work or home with little interest or energetic involvement; need for a fresh perspective on daily tasks.

Vervain
The world would be better with your visions and values; enthusiasm and intensity so much that tension pushes your body beyond natural energy levels; overwhelm others with your sense of conviction. The vervain personality will waste energy by focussing stress and tension on one situation or issue that is plaguing them at the time.

For more information on exhaustion flowers, link to: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/exhaustion-flowers.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-31698119968296309802008-12-05T13:51:00.000-08:002008-12-05T13:52:41.955-08:00Eating Disorders
Eating disorders come in many shapes and sizes. There are those who crave foods, such as alcohol, carbohydrates, sugars, chocolate, caffeine, or fats (drugs would also come in to play here.) There are those who choose not to eat and deny themselves food for fear of weight problems. There are those who will eat simply to vomit it back up out of the system before it has time to digest. No matter what the eating disorder, the issue many times goes back to an Agrimony personality type.

The Agrimony personality is the abusive personality. The truth is, however, that the Agrimony feels the need to abuse them selves. They do not love themselves and therefore cannot act in a loving manner. After a long bout of Agrimony, one Agrimony client stated it nicely about how she saw her Agrimony personality. Her explanation was something like this.. if you are told your whole life you are not good enough, you are not thin enough, you are not smart enough, etc, etc…then your reality becomes that you never have enough. And so you are always looking for more. And since you have been taught well that you don't have it within yourself, you always look outwardly to try to find happiness or joy. And of course, it does not exist out there. Ultimately each one of us has to find our happiness within our selves.

So the Agrimony becomes a professional at abuse of one self. They also deny their true feelings. They prefer to make light of issues so they don't have to face them. Many an Agrimony's favorite words come down to, "I'm fine!". They pretend life is good when deep inside they mentally torment themselves over issues. If the Agrimony would only learn to express their feeling at the time an issue was happening, they could save themselves a great deal of pain. But an Agrimony has been taught not to deal with issues. They are taught to stuff and pretend. Agrimony's greatest issues can come from fear of rejection. They are usually afraid to speak their truth for fear of being rejected once it is spoken. In the end, an Agrimony will become tormented and angry at themselves for the lack of courage. Agrimony will help to bring about the energy of courage needed to face our daily life's ordeals and to speak our truth at the moment it happens.
There are many physical traits that point to an Agrimony personality type. An Agrimony may manifest headaches for the anger that has been stuffed and suppressed. Cold sores may develop as another way of expressing their anger issues. Digestive disorders are common, and an Agrimony may even vomit when deeply tormented. This is one way we manifest our hidden fears in the physical body. Fears may also manifest as sleeping disorders. An Agrimony who has not expressed their feelings, keep them stuck within the physical mind and body. These hidden fears haunt the Agrimony personality and deny them sleep. Skin conditions including peeling skin have been noted in many Agrimony personalities.

Crab Apple is another flower that may helpful for people with eating disorders. This personality type becomes obsessive over trivial matters and often times obsessive over weight thereby using food in an unhealthy way. They often are unhappy with their physical appearance and focus on the things they don't like about themselves. They may have been physically abused, causing feelings of loathe or self-disgust.

Learning to enjoy foods that nourish the body is helpful for those with eating disorders. A diet for those who are looking to balance weight, either gaining or losing dependent upon the problem, may look something like this:

Breakfast
A whole grain cereal with a little nut or seed added for protein, along with some fresh sliced fruit. Soy milk or goat milk is best for balancing.

Lunch
A meat protein with fresh vegetables of your choice. Do not mix meat protein with carbohydrates for maximum digestion.

Dinner
A bean protein with bread and fresh vegetables of your choice, along with goat or sheep cheese and pure olive oil.

Snack
A goat yogurt of your choice. This helps balance digestion and cleansing of the system. Water is essential - a minimum of 4-6 cups of pure water daily (never drink water that has been treated in any way no matter who tells you how good it is for you). Nuts used as a snack when cravings result can be helpful as well.

As you begin to heal the Agrimony personality, Larch may be a flower that can help you feel good about yourself. It is the flower for lack of self-esteem and fear of failure. If during your Agrimony layer, these two traits become obvious, Larch would be a good flower to add to your program. Lastly, learn to speak loving thoughts about yourself. When you look in the mirror, stop noticing everything you don't like about yourself and instead focus on the things you do like. When you think bad thoughts about yourself, learn to say that you forgive yourself. The fastest way I know to heal anything is through forgiveness. The more you practice loving yourself, the faster you will learn to do just that!
Linda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-10592696958149634652008-12-04T18:06:00.000-08:002008-12-19T18:46:53.677-08:00Digestive DisordersWe've all had occurrences of digestive disorders at one time or another. However, chronic digestive disturbances can create deficiencies and more serious problems down the line. In order to maintain health at all levels, our ability to digest and absorb our nutrients is essential.
The liver, gall bladder, stomach, spleen, kidney and bladder are all body parts that play a role in our digestive processes. If any of these body parts are not functioning properly, digestive disturbances can occur. In order to maintain these organs in a healthy state, certain foods should be avoided. To make this simple, let's take one body part at a time.

The Gall Bladder seems to be America's number one digestive problem. The great American diet puts this organ under the greatest stress. The gall bladder begins our digestive process by breaking down fats and producing the bile necessary for proper digestion. When our bile is out of balance, food will feel as if it gets stuck between the rib bones. Burping, belching or reflux can occur as well as problems with the bowel system. During extreme cases, the lower back may experience pain and can be a direct result of gall bladder imbalances. In order to begin healing the gall bladder, certain foods must be avoided including fried food, hydrogenated oils, pork and cow cheese. These will prove heavy to a gall bladder already under distress. Extra Virgin Olive Oil (either from Italy or Greece are our favorites) is a wonderful oil to use and will not cause distress to the gall bladder. Soy, Rice, Goat or Sheep cheese can be substituted for cow cheese. Foods should be boiled, broiled, baked or roasted and only using olive oil. Hydrogenated oils are found in most packaged goods. Read all labels and avoid all foods that contain this product. The body does not have a clue how to digest it.

Dandelion is one of my favorite herbs that is helpful to clean up a problem gall bladder. Mother Earth grows dandelions everywhere for a very good reason. We are supposed to use them often to keep our system cleansed. This is one of America's best kept secrets. I believe if we were taught to use dandelion tea from the time we were young, we could help eliminate a number of diseases we create as we age. Dandelion is a gentle cleanser that helps to keep our entire digestive system clean.

The more abuse we have put our gall bladder under, the more potent the herb we can try to help do a deeper cleansing. The herbs I use for deeper digestive issues include burdock root, yellow dock root, red clover and milk thistle.

The gall bladder holds the emotion of fear of failure or fear to make a mistake. It is the area where we hold our confidence and self esteem. When someone speaks badly about us, it is the area that will manifest pain or symptoms. So chronic digestive problems in the gall bladder area may be speaking to us to learn that mistakes are a way of life. They happen for us to grow and become stronger spiritual beings. We cannot move forward if we stay stuck from fear of making a mistake. And that mentality goes against everything our spirits stand for which is change and experience. There are a number of fear flowers but the one I see often specifically for fears of failure or fears of mistakes is the flower called Larch. Larch is the flower that helps us become more confident and enhances our self-esteem.

The other fear flowers include
Mimulus - Frequently shortchange yourself from full experiences of life .. isolating yourself due to nagging fears or worries. Paralyzed by annoying doubts, fears or worries, hypersensitive, frequently troubled or uneasy even when encountering ordinary or daily activities.

White Chestnut - Mind is an echo chamber, constantly replaying bits of conversations without resolutions. Mental agitation or racing thoughts, often resulting in insomnia and general restlessness. Difficult to experience inner state of calm objectivity or inner peace.

Aspen - Anxious & fearful, experiencing nightmares. Easily registering impressions for unseen or unknown sources. Aspen is the fears that speak to "what if this happens, what if this doesn't happen.." The aspen personality will worry over things that have not yet happened and may never happen.

Rock Rose - Nightmares that bring a sense of terror or deep emotional disturbance. Life threatening or destructive situations.. no courage in stressful situations.

Cherry Plum - Great deal of pressure & stress resulting in enormous emotional or physical tension.. fear of loss of control.. temporary insanity, suicidal or destructive impulses.

Star of Bethlehem - Deep trauma or assault, which never allowed you to regain your vitality and strength.. lack of inner peace do to stres and trauma.. prolonged state of spiritual stress.

Larch - Stifling creative expressions. Self doubt, lacking confidence to take risks or be spontaneous. Fear of failure or expectation of criticism from others hold you back. Difficulty in speaking or presentations even when prepared.

Red Chestnut - Worry or concern about others welfare.. living their lives rather than your own.. hard to trust in your children's or close friend's life events.

Liver and Spleen
Symptoms of a clogged liver and spleen show as inability to think or focus, pain, rash or infecion. We treat these two filters basically the same way. In order to stop aggravating our filters, we need to remove ourselves from chemicals both in our food and in our environment. The places we eat chemicals the most in the American diet include city water, artificial ingredients including artificial sweeteners and dark colored sodas. I have many people call me to say they can't eat anything they have in their home. Consequently, we have to ask ourselves, "just what have we been eating?". Naturally, no alcohol is best to heal a liver or spleen, but if you choose to drink, always drink the best and never put cheap alcohol in your body. A real body deserves and insists on real food. Foods that are laden with chemicals have to be filtered first by our filtration system. This will put the liver and spleen under great stress.

The next step in the process is the clean up the liver and spleen using herbs that help to detoxify these systems. My favorite herb again would be dandelion if these body parts have not been abused for long periods of time. Deeper cleansing herbs for abused livers and spleens would include yellow dock root, burdock root, red clover and licorice root. Many times you can find a formula that contains all or some of these herbs and is considered a liver cleansing formula.
Milk Thistle is a wonderful herb that I like to strengthen the liver after it has been cleansed, especially in the liver where chronic abuse is evident.

Both the liver and spleen hold the emotion of anger, just different types of anger. The liver is where frustration is held. So it is the first body part that will be affected when our anger becomes evident. The spleen holds the emotion of resentment, usually resentment of others. So if we store anger toward another being for any length of time, the spleen will become affected. Just as in the physical body, the emotional aspects of these organs support one another. Our spiritual job is to practice transforming our frustrations and our resentments back to what brings us joy.

The anger flowers are as follows
Agrimony - The agrimony personality makes light of issues instead of facing them. They tend to become the addictive personality type using drugs, alcohol, chocolate, sugars, carbohydrates, gambling, shopping, etc. The agrimony is always looking outwardly for something to make them happy as they have not dealt with the issue of their happiness from inside.

Vine - Demand obedience or allegiance from others.. control and direct. Assertive to point of aggression.. my way or no way. Strong willed that overpowers others.

Water Violet - Aloof and socially distant.. measures others according to social status, economic background.. may not want to associate with those beneath you. Easily annoyed when working with others. Leave me alone!

Willow - Hold on to past injustices or misfortunes.. bitterness & resentment. Victim role.. always being persecuted or unfairly punished.. emotionally inflexible.. difficult to forgive others or be accepting and yielding.

Impatiens - Tense, irritable, easily impatient and argumentative. Take over for others, finish their sentences or complete tasks because others are too slow. Rushing ahead of experience, not able to enjoy or pay attention to the present.

Beech - Set high standard for others.. critical or judgement toward behavior & performance of others or oneself.. must be surrounded by perfection.

Holly - Feelings of jealousy, rivalry, suspicious or vengefulness. Loss of feeling of compassion for others.. Feelings of alienation, mistrust or hostility. Struggle or compete in order to receive love or recognition, feeling it is rightfully yours.

Stomach
The stomach holds the emotion of nervousness. Again, this is a fear layer and the fear flowers noted above should be considered. It is important to eliminate all caffeine from the diet including teas, coffee, and chocolate. Oranges and orange juice can also play havoc with a stomach issue. The physical symptom I see most often is usually associated with too much acid in the stomach. This can cause flatulence and heartburn. The mental torment that comes with an agrimony layer can affect the stomach. Remember that the agrimony personality hides their feelings and creates their mind to go to the "would have", "should have", or "could have" said or done something different mentality. This is mainly because the agrimony does not speak their truth at the time it is happening. Instead they choose to stuff their feelings until these feelings turn to anger in the system. In reality, the agrimony is only angry with themselves for not being true to their own feelings. So even though Agrimony is not listed as a fear flower (because this torment turns to anger), it can affect the stomach area of the body.

There are a number of supplements that can help calm an acid state in the stomach. The most commonly used is Aloe Vera Gel, which comes in liquid or capsule form. A capsule or tablespoon before each meal will help calm the acid condition and bring about healing. Marshmallow root can also be helpful and can be found most commonly in tincture or tea form. Marshmallow root will also coat the stomach and help heal and acidic condition. Natrum Phosphate is the tissue salt that is the acid balancer of the body.

For more information on fear flowers, link on: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/fear-flowers.html

For more information about anger flowers link to: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/anger-flowers.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-33267007152954384542008-12-04T18:02:00.000-08:002008-12-19T18:38:19.686-08:00Depression, Despondency, Despair, GriefAll of these emotions are held in the hormonal organs of the body.. the ovaries and the uterus; the testicles and the prostate gland. The brain will be affected as well if we hold on to these emotions and create the negative state of grief within the system. We all grieve. It is a normal state of feeling after loss. What we need to learn however is that those who remain on this plane have done so to have experiences and learn from their lessons of the past, not stay in them. After a short grieving period, the emotion of celebration for passing to a higher state of existence should be encouraged. When this does not happen, and we choose to remain focussed on past issues, imbalances occur in the body.

Depression manifests in the physical body as crying and exhaustion as well as hormonal imbalances. Women who experience PMS, irregular menstrual cycles, hot flashes, pre- or post-menopausal symptoms may be holding on to the emotion of depression within the system. Our hormonal system is our system of changes in life. We are always cycling in life, as we are cyclical beings. Those who resist change will manifest an imbalance in the hormonal system. Walnut is the flower that helps to balance those who do not do well with changes in life. These people are often powerful people, but can be influenced by those who they believe have more authority than they do.

There are herbs that can be very helpful during hormonal imbalances including chaste tree berry. This is one herb that I have used especially with young adults who are having irregular periods. Cramp Bark is an herb that is helpful for those who experience abnormal cramping during periods. The tissue salt Magnesium Phosphate is also very helpful for muscular cramping. Black Cohosh, Isoflavones, Red Raspberry, Dong Quai and Red Clover are all herbs that can prove helpful during menopausal years. There are a number of good companies that make hormonal balancing herbs that can be very effective including, Natures Plus, Country Life and HerbPharm, to name a few of my favorites. Saw Palmetto is used for male prostate problems.
Healthy oils, such as Flaxseed Oil and/or Evening Primrose Oil, may be essential to heal hormonal problems as well.

During times of aging, or pre-menopausal, the tissue salt Calcium Fluoride may be helpful to restore elasticity to the body. "Calcium Fluoride is found in the connective tissue, the blood vessels, the muscular tissue, in the surface of the bones and the enamel of the teeth. Relaxed conditions may call for the use of this tissue salt including veins and arteries, piles, sluggish circulation, cracks in the skin and is helpful in the treatment of diseases affecting the surface of the bones and joints. Muscular weakness may be apparent when this tissue salt is deficient." (from the Biochemic Handbook).

For women who have serious bloating or water retention during hormonal times, a dose of Natrum Mur might prove helpful. Nat Mur is one of the tissue salts that helps balance water in the body. Other symptoms of a Nat Mur deficiency might include: "low spirits with a feeling of hopelessness, headaches with constipation, difficult stools, watery mucus and sneezing, dry painful nose and throat symptoms, heartburn with slow digestion, thirst, facial neuralgia with flow of tears and saliva, eyes weak, hay fever, drowsiness with muscular weakness, chafing skin, hang nails, unrefreshing sleep, loss of taste or smell, and cravings for salt or salty foods" (from the Biochemic Handbook).

Those who experience chronic depression may also experience hormonal imbalances. The flowers for depression are listed below. Two herbs that have been used for mild depression include St. John's Wort and SamE. The opposite of depression is learning to be happy in the moment. Focussing our energy into what we love about our life instead of what we think we are missing is the first step in learning to be happy where you are right now. Seeing the magic in every moment is essential to appreciating the beauty around us. That takes practice but it is certainly worth the effort in the end.

Depression Flowers:
Gentian - Skeptical; dwell on the problem not the solution. Discouraged by setbacks.. 1/2 empty not 1/2 full. Succumb to doubt and pessimism.

Gorse - Little hope; world is dark and menacing place; no hope of improvement or betterment ahead. Loss of faith.. little can be done to improve a condition.

Mustard - Unexpected bouts of depression or inner darkness..mood swings.. feeling of depression comes from outside of you.

Sweet Chestnut - Hit rock bottom, extreme state of despair - no way out! Extreme mental anguish or suffering.. breaking point has been reached. Sense of utter aloneness or abandonment.. test of faith.

To learn more about depression flowers link at: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/depression-flowers.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-65342986703801094352008-12-04T17:59:00.000-08:002008-12-19T18:41:06.400-08:00Circulatory ProblemsThe circulatory system of the body holds the emotion of worry, worry, worry. Those with minds of constant chatter may feel the symptoms of circulation problems such as coldness, numbness or tingling of the extremities (the hands and feet). The flower that helps to balance this constant worry of the mind is called "White Chestnut". The White Chestnut personality cannot let his mind rest and is constantly thinking like a broken record. The White Chestnut may not be able to fall asleep at night or they make wake in the middle of the night and not be able to get back to sleep. The positive aspect of the White Chestnut personality is found in those with peace of mind and who can think clearly and respond to situations calmly and efficiently.

Worry at this level is often due to the lack of faith in oneself to be tolerant of others. We worry about others because we don't have the faith to allow them the space they need to work through their own issues. Our job becomes one of guide, teacher, and healer in the respect that we can help others on their journey but we cannot partake on their journey for them. The imbalance of worry keeps us attached to other's journeys and limits us in our ability to continue on our own spiritual path.

Kali Sulph is the tissue salt that may be helpful for sluggish circulation. Kali Phos is another tissue salt that helps calm the nervous system. Constant worry plays havoc with the nervous system and can create anxiety problems down the road. It also becomes a great stress to the heart.

Learning to ground yourself is essential to healing constant worry. There are many ways to practice grounding. My favorites include hiking, kayaking on a gentle lake or river, or bike rides through woodland paths. There are many ways to ground. Other ways that people may use include yoga, meditation, reading, gardening… anything that brings calmness and serenity to the system. These are things each one of us should practice daily.

Warming foods may be helpful as you heal for those who feel constantly cold. The warming herbs include ginger, turmeric, cayenne. Vitamin E and Ginkgo Biloba can help in healing the capillary system.

To learn more about fear flowers, link to: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/fear-flowers.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-82377421579853489492008-12-04T17:44:00.000-08:002008-12-19T04:32:33.697-08:00Bowel DisordersThe bowels hold the emotion of Impatience. Most often the flower I see that helps this area of the body is the flower called "Impatiens". But as with all, not everything is 100% true with every body. People who have chronic bowel problems need to look at their patience levels.

Impatience personalities need to learn to calm the system down and practice being in the moment. This means bringing your mind back to where you are in the moment you are in it. Impatience personalities are usually way ahead in their mind from where they are. They are racing to where they are going next or what they will speak about next. Calming the mind is not the easiest thing you will practice, but it is the most rewarding.

I decided to practice calming my mind one particular day while driving my car. I realized my mind was not on the beauty that was before me. I started to pay attention to how my mind drifted to other places and events that were not important in that moment. It was at that time that I consciously began to train my mind to stay focussed on what was directly in front of it. I literally spoke to myself about the color of the trees, the birds in flight, people on the street - I began to watch my life as if it were a movie. The more I practiced, the better I got. Being in the moment became a realization of my senses working together at the same time. I marveled at the smell of the grass, the trees and the flowers, I felt the wind blow through my windows, I heard the birds chirp as I drove past fields and forests. I could taste of spring in the air. I knew then that when all of our senses are in synch, we have accomplished the goal of being in the moment. And when we do this, we learn patience because there is really no where but right here, right now.

Most colon problems can be helped with the addition of a friendly bacteria supplement called acidophilus. Today, many of us no longer have the friendly flora in our colon essential to colon health. Colon issues usually begin with a digestive system imbalance, so eliminating foods that aggravate digestion are essential including fried food, hydrogenated oils, pork, cow dairy products, city water, artificial ingredients including colors, preservatives and sweeteners, oranges and orange juice as well as caffeine and chocolate. Other foods that should be avoided include refined foods as in refined white flours and white sugars. Our bodies don't work from the bottom up; we create from the top down. Introducing a digestive cleanser may also be helpful for colon issues. Remember that dandelion root is the most gentle of all cleanser so it might be a good one to begin with.

Bananas can be very constipating. They are difficut to digest unless they are extremely ripened. So if you are trying to heal the colon area, avoid bananas for a while, and when you decide to reintroduce them, only eat them when they are almost too soft to touch.

Often those with chronic constipation may need a little help for a short term to get the system going while changing their eating and emotional habits. I always recommend a little sesame seed in the morning and a dried prune at night to help the system get going with food sources. I find that in these instances, Burdock Root works better than Dandelion as it will help our systems eliminate through the colon area. If the cleanser does not begin to do its job within a few weeks, Psyllium Seed Husks can be helpful. Senna is also helpful and can be purchased in a tea form. Traditional Medicinals makes a "Smooth Move" tea that has proven effective with many people. But this is only to help us through the "rough" times and the body should eventually heal itself with food and emotional stability.

Water is essential to healthy bowel activity, and we should learn to drink 4-6 cups of pure water daily. If cramping is a problem in the bowel area, the tissue salt magnesium phosphate may prove helpful as it calms muscular aches and cramping in any part of the system. It is safe and can be taken as often as needed.

For those with chronic or severe colon issues, a colon cleansing diet may be what is necessary to really cleanse this system:

On the first day of your new diet, eat only fresh vegetables, cooked or raw to help re-introduce enzyme activity along with one piece of fresh fruit daily. Do not combine cooked and raw vegetables at the same meal. Keep this simple with nothing added to the food. This is for the first day only to help the system cleanse and rejuvenate itself. And always 4-6 cups of pure water daily.

On the second day, add a minimum of 1 TBS. of olive oil to your vegetables to help coat the colon with good oils. Continue with the fresh vegetables, fruit and olive oil for four days. I find that a Greek or Italian extra virgin olive oil is of medicinal value for many parts of the body.

On the fifth day add whole grains in the form of bread, pastas, cereals, snacks and grains such as brown rice, barley, millet, oats, quinoa, etc.. You continue with all these foods for another few days.

After a week, add a friendly bacteria supplement in the form of Acidophilus. Acidophilus can be purchased at any health food store.

On week two, continue the acidophilus, the fresh vegetables and fruit, olive oil and the whole grains, but now add a cup of beans for protein. Always have fresh vegetables with your beans to help them digest properly. We are not talking about baked beans that are full of sugar and salt here. We are talking simple plain old beans such as kidney beans, black beans, soybeans, pinto beans, etc. Whether you choose to cook the beans yourself or purchase them from a can makes no difference. We prefer organic as we believe it is better for not only our bodies, but for the earth as well. You can season your beans with tamari, fresh herbs, olive oil, etc.. Continue on this regiment for another week.

After the second week, you can add a little nut and a little seed as a protein source. If you choose to do meat, chicken or fish now is the time to add meat proteins, but always use small amounts (4 -5 oz. per day).

This diet shows you how to rebalance a colon with food sources. Continuing to eat this way will ensure a healthy bowel, which is essential to the health of the body. At this point in your healing, you will be able to see which foods aggravate you and which are good for you.

Our bodies are always speaking to us. It is our job to learn how to listen. And we can only do that when we are clean and clear within ourselves… physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally.

For more information on the flower essence Impatien link to: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/anger-flowers.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-24218253042610680612008-12-04T17:38:00.000-08:002008-12-19T04:26:51.712-08:00Boils and Skin EruptionsAs with any rash, this type of skin ailment relates to anger. Boils and skin eruptions go one step further and are trying to address issues of anger over trust that have been stored long and deep within the system. Boils, styes or cysts can also speak to anger from trust issues that have not been resolved and have accumulated within the system. Mistrust can turn into hate. Normally we do not hate a person, but a situation or circumstance. In order to heal these types of imbalances, the anger must be transformed back to trust. The body that holds this type of anger is the lymphatic system of the body.

Dependent upon where the body reveals boils or skin eruptions of this kind will give you an indication of where the issue of trust needs to be looked at. For instance, if boils manifest between the legs on the upper thighs, this may signify that there are areas of mistrust and anger over sexual issues or security issues, such as family, money or job. If a sty develops over an eye, there may be mistrust that has been denied. The eye indicates that it is time for you to see it.

Where symptoms reveal themselves on the body is further language that needs to be understood. The throat is our control center. If we manifest cysts or boils in the throat area, we are speaking to being angry over something we cannot control or anger over someone or something trying to control us. And since the throat is our "Beech" or intolerance center, the flower "Beech" may be just what is needed to help heal these types of cysts.

In order to heal these types of skin eruptions, the emotion of anger must be healed. Use of the correct flower is dependent upon how you were taught to channel your anger. (See section on Healing the Emotions) With people who manifest rashes or skin eruptions, I usually find that they have a number of anger layers stuck in the system. For instance, if I work with someone who has a "Beech" or intolerance layer, as they heal their intolerance, they may begin to feel more anger emerging in the system. The next layer that might reveal itself may be a "Willow" or resentment layer. So once you pick a flower that sounds most like the issue you are dealing with at this moment, you may begin to experience angers that have been buried beneath the most recent layer. Always go with what you are feeling in the moment you are in. Each layer can take anywhere from four to eight weeks to heal it.

Once you begin to heal the emotions associated with the condition, you must also begin to heal the physical body that has created this imbalance for you to look at. It is imperative that the liver and spleen are cleansed which will become blocked when we store anger. In order to do that we must first eliminate the foods that aggravate digestion, including fried food, hydrogenated oils, pork, cow dairy products, city water, artificial ingredients including colors, preservatives and sweeteners, oranges and orange juice as well as caffeine and chocolate.

When someone is dealing with skin eruptions the blood system may need detoxifying as well. A cleansing formula that contains Red Clover and Burdock can help. You should be able to find an herbal cleanser with these two herbs at your local health food store. Michael's Vitamins makes a product called "Blood Detoxifier" that I find helpful. Herb Pharm makes one called Red Clover-Stillingia combination that does a wonderful job for helping cleanse these types of ailments. The tissue salt Silicea is considered the cleanser and eliminator of the body. It helps the body break up accumulations that have become stuck in the system including boils, abscesses, and sties.

I like to recommend a tissue salt called Silicea which acts as a cleanser and eliminator which helps to move toxins that may have built up in the system over time. Silicea is also the main constituent of the hair, skin and nails.

Borage oil, which contains mucilage, can be helpful in the removal of toxins from the body.. of which boils and skin eruptions would fit this description.

To learn more about the flowers that help us heal our angers link to: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/anger-flowers.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com44tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-29722576313986731032008-12-04T17:34:00.000-08:002008-12-19T04:22:24.753-08:00Arthritis and Joint PainJoint blockages or swelling usually speak to the emotion of guilt, shame or regret that is being held in the system. One case study that particularly stands out was a gentleman who complained about carpal tunnel, tennis elbow and runner's knee. I looked at him and simply said, "guilt". Again he confirmed to me, "No. I have carpal tunnel, tennis elbow and runner's knee". I explained that he could give it any name he chose, but in reality, his body was trying to get him to look at the guilt he harbored in his system. After three long layers of the flower essence, Pine, his pains in all his joints began to disappear. He is pain free in these areas today. Although at that time he was unable to understand his guilt, as we worked further on his layers, the issues he was dealing with began to be revealed, and he began to understand how he patterned his negative emotions.

Sometimes it is difficult to feel the difference between joint pain or ligament pain. Each is unique to the issue that needs to be addressed. But the flower essence Pine is the flower used mainly for the issues of guilt, which will manifest in the joint. In order to heal guilt, one must begin to speak in innocence. People who are professionals in the emotion of guilt usually feel bad if they cannot accommodate other's wishes. They are people pleasers. When a person who harbors guilt in his system feels bad that they are unable to do something for others, they must remind themselves that it is okay not to be able to do everything for everyone. We can also harbor guilt over old issues that were never healed or forgiven from the past. This is where the bigger manifestations of arthritis may begin to manifest. As these old issues reveal themselves to you through the memory cells, it is important to forgive yourself for past mistakes and behaviors. It is time to stop judging ourselves and instead learn from our old experiences. It is only through this behavior that we can grow and change, which is ultimately what we are all here to do anyway.

Circulatory issues can be attached to guilt as well because those who do guilt powerfully usually attach worry to these same issues. For further information on Circulation, visit this section of our "Healing Physical Symptoms". Magnesium helps to nourish the skeletal system. And yet magnesium can be difficult to absorb when the digestive system is not working properly. Foods that aggravate the digestive system should be eliminated from the diet. These foods are always consistently the same including fried food, hydrogenated oils, pork, cow dairy products, city water, artificial ingredients including colors, preservatives and sweeteners, oranges and orange juice as well as caffeine and chocolate, refined white sugars and flours.Supplements that have proven helpful for joint health include flaxseed oils (which can be taken in capsule or liquid form) or omega 3 fish oils. Both of which can help to lubricate the joints. Ground flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and lecithin granules help to break down accumulated matter in the body. Greek or Italian extra virgin olive oils should be used daily as your oil of choice.

A deficiency of magnesium and/or calcium can be attached to this imbalance as well, so eating foods high in these nutrients is essential. These foods include sesame seeds, poppy seeds, almonds, bitter leafy greens and dark green herbs. A supplement high in magnesium may also prove very helpful.Burdock Root is an herbal cleanser, which helps to eliminate matter that has become stuck in the body during the elimination process. There are two tissue salts that prove helpful in matters of inflammation. One is Natrum Phosphate, which is the acid neutralizer of the body. An acid state of the blood can aggravate rheumatism, lumbago, fibrosistis and associated joint ailments. The tissue salt Ferrum Phosphate is the oxygen carrier of the body and is useful for any ailment related to inflammatory pain.

The most important thing we can do for healthy joints is to cleanse our joints during the summer months when the berries and cherries are in full season. The dark blue and black colors of berries and cherries speak to the cleansing action of the fruit and help to disperse any matter we may have accumulated during the winter months. When out of season, black cherry or blueberry juice can be used as a joint cleanser.

One cream that I have seen help people handle the pain as they heal has been Natures Plus "Glucosamine Chondroitin with MSM cream. It can be applied directly on the area where the pain is focussed. Glucosamine Chondroitin with MSM is also available in supplement form, which can be taken internally. Finally, make sure that you are drinking 4-6 cups of pure water daily to help the body cleanse itself. Water should be consumed as follows: 1 cup upon awakening to re-hydrate the system and 1 cup before each meal to flush the system.

For more information on the flower essence Pine link to: http://healingyou101-emotions.blogspot.com/2008/12/guilt-shame-and-regret-flower.htmlLinda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4713672688928672592.post-83501929627067325932008-12-04T17:20:00.000-08:002008-12-04T17:24:34.477-08:00Introduction to The Physical BodyWhatever goes on in your body is your "stuff". These are the first words I speak to a client during an initial visit. If you are manifesting physical symptoms within your body, a negative imbalance is asking for your attention. It is through our spiritual body that we connect to our divine self. The divine self is perfect in knowing what makes us happy, confident, courageous, forgiving, understanding, patient, etc. This list can go on and on. It is when we choose to go against our divine self (through our negative behaviors such as impatience, jealousy, fear, guilt, intolerance, hate, etc.), we will first feel an emotional reaction. Within a short period of time, we will think about our negative feelings and eventually, we will begin to speak about them. This is how we give energy to our negative aspects.

If we learn to pay attention to this language early on in the process, we could begin to change it immediately. But most of us are not taught that we can change our negative behavior patterns. Instead we are taught to remain stuck within them. This is learned behavior from previous experiences. Because we choose not to heed early warnings, the spirit will use the physical body to speak to us. It is at this point that our negative states may begin to affect us personally through pain, rash, indigestion, etc. It is through this physical manifestation we begin to take notice.

It has become easy for us to label this manifestation as illness. Through illness, we create the illusion that we are not responsible for our symptoms. Nothing is further from the truth. The truth is that we are responsible for everything we manifest in our lives and in our bodies, even the things we call "disease".

Let me see if I can take this one step at a time. And please, understand that what I am teaching you are my beliefs that have come through my own personal experiences. Whether or not you choose to accept any of my teachings is up to you. But I can assure you that health comes through personal responsibility.

I believe we have had a huge decline in health because we are looking outwardly for someone else to heal us. It is at this point that we turn our power over to someone else. In order to heal, we need to maintain our power within ourselves. True healing comes from our ability to "listen" to our own body language. The problem is that we have forgotten how to interpret this language.

Many people will come in and out of our lives to assist our healing journey, but there is only one person who can heal you.. and that is you.My job is to teach you physical body language. This section of our website attempts to do just that.

As you try to learn this type of healing, remember that we are unique through our own personal experiences. The products I have used and had positive results with are from a majority of clients, not all clients. Not everything is 100%. What I am trying to do is to teach you how to begin a new way of healing.

It is important to remember that our healing journeys lasts a lifetime. With a little help from your newfound ability to manifest, new therapies will show themselves to you as you begin to learn to ask for them. You may be amazed to realize that the old saying, "ask and you will receive", becomes a part of your existence. We do have the power to create. Begin asking and see what happens in your life.

America has become the land of popping pills. We are led to believe that healing comes from taking a drug and going on our old way. In my experiences, healing comes from change. If you are manifesting physical symptoms within your own body, then your spirit is asking you to change something, whether it be dietary changes, exercise changes, job changes, or attitude changes. Only you, individually, can know what these changes are.

Like flower essences, it is not the happy, positive things in our lives that create imbalances. Instead, it is those things that we judge as unpleasant, angry, fearful or negative. These are the experiences in our lives that we should begin to look at and find ways to transform. It is through transformation that we begin to heal. The flower essences help us to "see" and become more aware of our negative states of imbalance that have become a part of our "being". The flower essences "awaken" us from our lifetime of "unconsciousness".

My job also is to get you in "touch" with your negative states of behavior, both physically and emotionally. If we can get in touch with these negative patterns early on in the process, we can transform this energy quickly, thereby transforming the physical pains or imbalances along with it. Naturally the longer we have held on to negative states of imbalances, the longer it may take to change our behavior patterns. But "seeing" is the first step to healing. We cannot heal that which we cannot "see".

This section of our website allows you to begin thinking differently about physical manifestations. If you have chronic skin problems, the section on "Skin Rashes" may awaken a cell in you that needs transformation. If you have chronic sinus infections, visit the section on "Sinusitis" and see what holds true for you. The secret here is honesty and responsibility. Be honest with your past patterns and take responsibility to begin changing them.Linda Wojcik, Nutritional Kinesiologist, Spiritual Intuitive, Flower Practitionerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04251077534080796063noreply@blogger.com6
