Circulatory Problems

The circulatory system of the body holds the emotion of worry, worry, worry. Those with minds of constant chatter may feel the symptoms of circulation problems such as coldness, numbness or tingling of the extremities (the hands and feet). The flower that helps to balance this constant worry of the mind is called "White Chestnut". The White Chestnut personality cannot let his mind rest and is constantly thinking like a broken record. The White Chestnut may not be able to fall asleep at night or they make wake in the middle of the night and not be able to get back to sleep. The positive aspect of the White Chestnut personality is found in those with peace of mind and who can think clearly and respond to situations calmly and efficiently.

Worry at this level is often due to the lack of faith in oneself to be tolerant of others. We worry about others because we don't have the faith to allow them the space they need to work through their own issues. Our job becomes one of guide, teacher, and healer in the respect that we can help others on their journey but we cannot partake on their journey for them. The imbalance of worry keeps us attached to other's journeys and limits us in our ability to continue on our own spiritual path.

Kali Sulph is the tissue salt that may be helpful for sluggish circulation. Kali Phos is another tissue salt that helps calm the nervous system. Constant worry plays havoc with the nervous system and can create anxiety problems down the road. It also becomes a great stress to the heart.

Learning to ground yourself is essential to healing constant worry. There are many ways to practice grounding. My favorites include hiking, kayaking on a gentle lake or river, or bike rides through woodland paths. There are many ways to ground. Other ways that people may use include yoga, meditation, reading, gardening… anything that brings calmness and serenity to the system. These are things each one of us should practice daily.

Warming foods may be helpful as you heal for those who feel constantly cold. The warming herbs include ginger, turmeric, cayenne. Vitamin E and Ginkgo Biloba can help in healing the capillary system.
